Hey people.
amanda here and im in my serious mode.

First up, im sure many of you are very miserable that the class party is cancelled. well have no fear! our dear Althea and Marie have nicely said that if we could organise it again we are allowed to have it.

Now im quite sure only a few people frequent tkgs-2e3.blogspot.com so i tried to send an email to all of you. i would greatly appreciate it if you passed it on to other friends whose email i may not have.

I have created a poll so please take it. i know its troublesome but im very sure a simple matter of clicking the 'back' button wouldnt hurt.

Hey guys, it's been two years. How time flies eh? Hope to be in the same class as those going to C (though C isn't my first choice, I'm 101% sure i'm getting in) Remember to wave or anything when we meet next year. Just don't become strangers! That would be so sad. :( Haha we still have some time together when most of us might cry again.

9/11 - Combi allocation? I don't know? haha. I just remember there's school that day. before you come with a stick finding me, JAS AND IPSI SAYS NO SCHOOL! Maybe i thought there is cause there's gonna be RC that day. HOWEVER, IF THERE REALLY IS SCHOOL... HAA HAAA HAAAAA.

anyway I really want to tell all of you that I LOVE 2E3 AND I'D MISS YOU LOADS! Anyway, whoever took pictures, please post!! :D haha. And those going to trip science - CONTINUE TO DO WELL! Don't let prc scholars pull your cohort rankings down, show that the 2e3 smartness lives in you! Haha kidding. I think we're mostly going to Triple Sci/D/E/C right. Haha. :) I don't think any of us are going to be in our new sec 3 classes alone so don't be so sad, you'd have one or two 2e3ians with you.

I want to write those individual thank yous or whatever too but well.. haha. lazy to type so much. Okay. I'd miss the singing people who never fail to make 2e3 lively, i'd miss those intellectual braincells filled people who bring our average up by leaps and bounds making us the best class for two years! I'd miss the sporty people who always sweat like hell during recess ~~and stink up the whole classroom with their stinky deodorants~~! Or when they gang up as a formidable PE team to thrash all the other groups. I'd miss the very funny prefects we have in class for seldom ever booking but always acting strict by giving warnings and showing how they are so human by being tempted by food when in class (HAH). I'd miss those bandits with their really cool instruments cases (which I so wish to open up and play with). I'd miss those two guides who always are there to share their UG camp experiences with me. I'd miss the dancers with their many recess dance practices and their need to eat/ ask others to buy food. I'd miss the artistic people who keep drawing and designing our class banner/ shirt/ walls/ other competitions. Lastly i miss everyone who tries hard not to fall asleep during our history lessons. :D

I'd be there at the squash court every morn when school reopens still so if you walk past the canteen and that direction, do WAVE!!

oh yes, before I forget. I'd never ever forget those great memories you gave me. Especially in sec one when I was crying like crap (yes as jade said, unglam!!) after I helped that fainting girl. It was soooo sweet and heartwarming when all of you gave me hugs (Mrs sin included :X) I do hope that you guys continue being healthy and if you can, don't ever fall sick and go to the sickbay. But if you do, remember that sickbay is being cleaned everyday by red crossers and it's not dirty! Don't worry and sleep. The bedsheets you sleep on probably have been washed by me countless of times. I do hope you people don't cry too much when we get our classes. I don't think I'd cry cause I cried too much in sec 1 if any of you remember. :)

I don't know how to describe this class. Yes, we've been together for 2 WHOLE YEARS. and ~~i've~~ we've been able to survive it, despite our FM's constant nagging, FPS, etc. now THAT'S impressive.

many of us cried. don't worry about embarrasing yourselves, many other people were teary or bawling their hearts out, besides y'all.

CLAP AND SCREAM COS WE WON 2ND FOR ZANY PARADE PEOPLE.

No offence, I think it was a big surprise and for me personally I think I screwed the chicken part, I couldn't do one of the actions cos my leg was stuck in the mud (I finally know what it's like to get stuck in the mud.)

It was lovely, though I think making all the classes do simultaneosly sucked, cos I wanted to see the diff. classes. Boo! It's our last event together and I think we did great.

And great job to the runners too, especially sarah who came in top 10 - 6th :D Btw, I think that the run isn't that far, it feels shorter than 2.4 or maybe because the scenery's awesome, the ground is FLAT and it isn't 6 rounds of psychologically daunting-ness. I would consider myself unfit really, and I didn't feel tired during the run. I so want east coast for 2.4.

Melina: On my way walking, I saw that girl... I'll tell you more in school. I ran past you! Haha. I didn't faint! LOL.

FARMER I’ve put the animals to sleep. You know what that means-

(The both of them laugh manically.)

(Behind them, gather the SHEEP who begin jumping over a fence. Slowly, the FARMER and the FARMER’S WIFE begin to fall asleep.)

(Seeing that the FARMER and the FARMER’S WIFE are falling asleep, the sheep slow down and act suspiciously. The mission impossible theme starts playing, and they all whip out sunglasses. They straighten themselves out and shift around stealthily until they form a single line and the music fades out.)

(From the middle of the line emerges the BLACK SHEEP, who is holding a giant egg.)

(Just then, one of the sheep sneeze violently, and crashes into the BLACK SHEEP, who lets the egg go flying right in front of the DONKEY. Everyone stares at the egg, before looking up slowly.)

(The DONKEY brays, the CHICKENS cluck, the SHEEP bleat and both groups charge towards each other and the DONKEY proceeds to hide. Hair is grabbed, tails are tugged, ears are pulled and everyone is shouting. The egg is untouched.)

(The FARMER and the FARMER’S WIFE are awoken by the commotion. They are shocked by what they see and proceed to stand up.)

FARMER’S WIFE What in the world is going on?

(With this, all animals freeze in their positions for a moment, then scramble off, with the SHEEP from where they entered and the CHICKENS from the opposing side.)

NAPFA CHALLENGE 2007
(Information for Pupils)

Dates: Monday 30/7-Friday 3/8
Time: 2.10pm-6.10pm
Venues: (1) Netball Court (for shuttle run)
(2) Hall (for all other items)

(A) General Information

1. The scheduled test dates are:

-Secondary 2: Wednesday 1/8
-Re-test All Levels: Friday 3/8

2. Note: All students must come on the date scheduled and the NAPFA test is a COMPULSORY school activity. This takes precedence over MT lessons, remedial lessons, CCA, enrichment activities and all other personal commitments.

3. Pupils must take the test according to thescheduled dates. If they cannot make it on the scheduled dates, approval must be given by their respective PE teachers to take on another date.

4. All class members are to meet their Sports Captain & Assistant Sports Captain at least 20min before the allocated time.

5. During the 20mins, the Sports Captain will:
-use the class list to take attendance
check on the dress code of the pupils
-conduct a 10-min warm up session
-distribute the NAPFA forms to all class members

6. Proper Dress Code
-school PE T-shirt (No class T-Shirt)
-school shorts
-proper sports shoes & school socks
-no jewellery or accessories (as stipulated in the Handbook)
-no painted or long fingernails

7. The sports Captain must indicate on the class list the names of the pupils who violate the dress code

8. This class list must be put inside Mrs Sew's locker outside the staffroom upon completion of the NAPFA test

9.The defaulting girl/s will be required to carry out cleaning of the PE store-room on the last Saturday of Term 3 or 4.

10. The Assistant Sports Captain must keep all wallets and valuables in the class locker.

11. All bags and school pinafor/blouses must be kept in the classroom. No pupils is allowed to bring any of these belongings around with her.

12. Each pupil is to return to the class once she has completed all her test items. Once in class, the pupils have to hand in the completed NAPFA forms to the Sports Captain. The Assistant Sports Captain will return the wallets to the class members.

13.The Sports Captain MUST COLLECT back all NAPFA forms and place them in Mrs Sew's locker outside the staff room on that day itself.

(B) Genral Instructions

1. If you're not fit on that day itself, you will have to produce an MC or letter to the PE teacher. The PE teacher will either ask her to:
(i) chooose another date to take the NAPFA Test
(ii) take her NAPFA during a PE lesson

2. You are strictly not allowed to request for additional attempts to re-do any items unless it's officially prescribed

3. Once you complate a test item, you are required to proceed to the next station. There is no "going-back" to the same station to re-do the test

4. For a test score to be valid, every pupil must check that the score is printed in ink and that the teacher has printed the signature next to the score

(C) NAPFA time schedules for all levels

(1) All sports Captains are to divide the class into 2 equal groups Group A (No. 1-20) & Group B(21-40) The first pupil of each group is appointed as the group leader (GLs).

(2) All GLs must bring their respective groups & report at the respective stations at the stated times

SCHEDULE FOR GROUP A

2.10- Shuttle Run
The rest is as follows: Sit-Up, then Standing Broad Jump, then Sit and reach, then Inclined pull-up

SCHEDULE FOR GROUP B

2.30-Sit-up
The rest is as follows: Standing Broad Jump, then Sit and reach, then Inclined pull-up, then Shuttle Run

Hey people, we got into the finals of Pulp Fashion! That's for those who didn't hear and still don't know. So what you gotta do is bring all the plastic bags you have at home to school by Monday. Do bring because we don't have that many bags at home uhh.

Here's what you've been waiting for: THE PICTURES OF OUR SEXAY MODEL BONG. haha. Tell Sreya, Jade or Melina if you want any modifications in any part of the outfit and how we can improve etc, so that you don't go whining if it turns out different on National Day.

We are blatantly advertising for Bossini man... Should change it to 2E3. Haha. Okay that's extra.

So, down to business.
How was the Parent-Teacher-Conference?
Ms. Wong was CRAPPY, say don't know what rubbish. Let me quote:"So, Jade... Let's have a look at your results. Hmm, not very good, huh? You see here, your grades started slipping, that should have set the red light blinking, hmm? Then you see here, okay, this is the practical, so nevermind. Then here, AIYO, this was really bad..." Then she went on and on and on and on and on and on .....etc.
Went it was over, my parents walked out with black faces. THEN, we went to Mrs Pang's room.
DUMDUMDUM.........DUMMMMMMMMM
I expected Mrs. Pang to slam me so hard that when the school term starts, you won't see me anymore. But, surprise surprise!!

Mrs Pang was like, quote: "You really must congratulate Jade, because, you see here, *pointpoint* she has moved 2 grades up!! From an f9 to a *i can't remember what*!!! That is very difficult, i can say, for a student to move from a fail, two grades up!......etcetc."

Hahas, i was a bit Haolian just now! ;DD

Then, we had the mini class gathering at Mandarin Gardens yesterday. Where i kena bombarded by hugs as i was about to leave. I had NO INTENTION to go to the party anyway. I just went there to help out a lil' and steal some onion rings.

it's so annoying! there were like FIVE minutes left and 3 mins added time!=( and they could've played penalties!=((

nth more about soccer.X) and gavel club was like WOAH.congrats jaslyn.omg i loved the way she did her evaluating tt was funnehh.xDD rawr man tmr got school-.- haha.

There we go! :) The new skin has been uploaded. Although there was originally a front page (the clickey page, like the last skin) and it was supposed to look like this:

...that I couldn't seem to figure out how to put up :( The theme was kind of like: Front page with the back of the classroom, back page with the front of the classroom. So perhaps you might find that the picture on the front page looks nicer than the one of the whiteboard on the top of this page, maybe I could try to edit it if you guys want. :)

Now the theme is all messed up :/ Ack.

If it seems too organised compared to last years skin (which was just plain messy) perhaps you could tell me and i could mess it up a bit. (Haha, I'm sorry if I'm being paranoid but I feel as if the skin is very naked without the front page.)

Drop your e-mail (refer to post below) on your tagboard so that I can help you get a joint account to the class blog and then edit the profile and stuff. Because right now it looks so bland with what I've done. Double ack.

Ohmy. Jadeh was saying how no one else seems to be able to log on to this blog anymore, because someone might have changed the password or something might have just gone nutso. (Thus the recent lack of posts.)

And since I still don't know what the password is, or if it's even changed (because I got a joint account of the class blog with my blogger account - which means that everytime I log onto my blogger account, I don't have to sign into our class blogger account to update our template or to post), so I'm suggesting that if you want a joint account as well, leave your e mail on our tagboard.

I'll invite you to join our class blog account, and all you have to do is accept :) Saves the trouble of remembering our user and pass.

Examination Day

The Jordans never spoke of the exam, not until their son, Dick, was 12 years old.
It was on his birthday that Mrs. Jordan first mentioned the subject in his presence, and the
anxious manner of her speech caused her husband to answer sharply.
"Forget about it," he said. "He’ll do all right."
They were at the breakfast table, and the boy looked up from his plate curiously.
He was an alert-eyed youngster, with flat blond hair and a quick nervous manner. He
didn’t understand what the sudden tension was about, but he did know that today was his
birthday, and he wanted harmony above all.
Somewhere in the little apartment there was wrapped, beribboned packages
waiting to be opened. In the tiny wall-kitchen, something warm and sweet was being
prepared in the automatic stove. He wanted the day to be happy, and the moistness of his
mother’s eyes, the scowl of his father’s face, spoiled the mood of expectation with which
he had greeted the morning.
"What exam?" he asked.
His mother looked at the tablecloth. "It’s just a sort of Government intelligence
test they give children at the age of twelve. You’ll be taking it next week. It’s nothing to worry about."
"You mean a test like in school?"
"Something like that," his father said, getting up from the table. "Go read your
comic books, Dick."
The boy rose and wandered toward that part of the living room that had been
“his” corner since infancy. He fingered the topmost comic of the stack, but seemed
uninterested in the colorful squares of fast-paced action. He wandered toward the window
and peered gloomily at the veil of mist that shrouded the glass.
“Why did it have to rain today?” he asked. “Why couldn’t it rain tomorrow?”
His father, now slumped into an armchair with the Government newspaper, rattled
the sheets in vexation. “Because it just did, that’s all. Rain makes the grass grow.”
“Why, Dad?”
“Because it does, that’s all.”
Dick puckered his brow. “What makes it green though? The grass?”
“Nobody knows,” his father snapped, then immediately regretted his abruptness.
Later in the day, it was birthday time again. His mother beamed as she handed
over the gaily-colored packages, and even his father managed a grin and a rumple-of-thehair.
He kissed his mother and shook hands gravely with his father. Then the birthday
cake was brought forth, and the ceremonies concluded.
An hour later, seated by the window, he watched the sun force its way between
the clouds.
“Dad,” he said, “how far away is the sun?”
“Five thousand miles,” his father said.
Dick sat at the breakfast table and again saw moisture in his mother’s eyes. He didn’t
connect her tears with the exam until his father suddenly brought the subject to light
again.
“Well, Dick,” he said, with a manly frown, “you’ve got an appointment today.”
“I know, Dad. I hope …”
“Now it’s nothing to worry about. Thousands of children take this test every day.
The Government wants to know how smart you are, Dick. That’s all there is to it.”
“I get good marks in school,” he said hesitantly.
“This is different. This is a special kind of test. They give you this stuff to drink,
you see, and then you go into a room where there’s a sort of machine …”
“What stuff to drink?” Dick said.
“It’s nothing. It taste like peppermint. It’s just to make sure you answer the
questions truthfully. Not that the Government thinks you won’t tell the truth, but this
stuff makes sure.”
Dick’s face showed puzzlement, and a touch of fright. He looked at his mother,
and she composed her face into a misty smile.
“Everything will be all right,” she said.
“Of course it will,” his father agreed. “You’re a good boy, Dick; you’ll make out
fine. Then we’ll come home and celebrate. All right?”
“Yes sir,” Dick said.
They entered the Government Educational Building fifteen minutes before the
appointed hour. They crossed the marble floors of the great, pillared lobby, passed
beneath an archway and entered an automatic elevator that brought them to the fourth
floor.
There was a young man wearing an insignia-less tunic, seated at a polished desk
in front of Room 404. He held a clipboard in his hand, and he checked the list down to
the Js and permitted the Jordans to enter.
The room was as cold and official as a courtroom, with long benches flanking
metal tables. There were several fathers and sons already there, and a thin-lipped woman
with cropped black hair was passing out sheets of paper.
Mr. Jordan filled out the form, and returned it to the clerk. The he told Dick: “It
won’t be long now. When they call your name, you go through the doorway at that end
of the room.” He indicated the portal with his finger.
A concealed loudspeaker crackled and called off the first name. Dick saw a boy
leave his father’s side reluctantly and walk slowly towards the door.
At five minutes of eleven, they called the name of Jordan.
“Good luck, son,” his father said, without looking at him. “I’ll call for you when
the test is over.”
Dick walked to the door and turned the knob. The room inside was dim, and he
could barely make out the features of the gray-tunicked attendant who greeted him.
“Sit down,” the man said softly. He indicated a high stool behind his desk. “Your
name’s Richard Jordan?”
“Yes sir.”
“Your classification number is 600-115. Drink this, Richard.”
He lifted a plastic cup from the desk and handed it to the boy. The liquid inside
had the consistency of buttermilk, tasted only vaguely of the promised peppermint. Dick
downed it, and handed the man the empty cup.
He sat in silence, feeling drowsy, while the man wrote busily on a sheet of paper.
Then the attendant looked at his watch, and rose to stand only inches from Dick’s face.
He unclipped a pen-like object from the pocket of his tunic, and flashed a tiny light into
the boy’s eyes.
“All right,” he said. “Come with me, Richard.”
He led Dick to the end of the room, where a single wooden armchair faced a
multi-dialed computing machine. There was a microphone on the left arm of the chair,
and when the boy sat down, he found its pinpoint head conveniently at his mouth.
“Now just relax, Richard. You’ll be asked some questions, and you think them
over carefully. Then give your answers into the microphone. The machine will take care
of the rest.”
“Yes, sir.”
“I’ll leave you alone now. Whenever you want to start, just say ‘ready’ into the
microphone.”
“Yes, sir.”
The man squeezed his shoulder, and left.
Dick said, “Ready.”
Lights appeared on the machine, and a mechanism whirred. A voice said:
“Complete this sequence. One, four, seven, ten …”
Mr. and Mrs. Jordan were in the living room, not speaking, not even speculating.
It was almost four o’clock when the telephone rang. The woman tried to reach it
first, but her husband was quicker.
“Mr. Jordan?”
The voice was clipped; a brisk, official voice.
“Yes, speaking.”
“This is the Government Educational Service. Your son, Richard M. Jordan,
Classification 600-115, has completed the Government examination. We regret to inform
you that his intelligence quotient has exceeded the Government regulation, according to
Rule 84, Section 5, of the New Code.”
Across the room, the woman cried out, knowing nothing except the emotion she
read on her husbands face.
“You may specify by telephone,” the voice droned on, “whether you wish his
body interred by the Government or would you prefer a private burial place? The fee for
Government burial is ten dollars.”

There's lit ca tomorrow and it was mr lit's last day today. and we kept laughing and stuff like that. hey people :) ziying here ya. concerning the monday beach thingy. i think we have to postpone this to june hols, cos, like, only what? three people are confirmed. so yeah.
